Product Description

The Aeolian Fan Harp is a one-of-a-kind wind-blown steel string zither created by Dust Bowl Guitars, inspired by ancient Greek wind harps. This fretless 12-string instrument creates its own wind with a fan! It includes strumming, strumming, arpeggiator, effects rack, custom effects and more.

Unique Instrument

The Aeolian Fan Harp is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted instrument created by Dust Bowl Guitars. Based on the concept of a traditional ancient Greek wind harp, this hollow-bodied 12-string fretless instrument incorporates a 120mm PC fan beneath the strings near the bridge to produce its own wind! And instead of nylon strings, it utilizes wound steel strings and electric guitar pickups. When strummed while the fan is off, it has a sound similar to a baritone electric guitar. When the fan is activated, it generates a lush, steady drone, but the real magic begins when you bow, scrape, glissando or excite the strings and create extraordinary cinematic clusters, sound effects and undulating drones.

This nearly 14GB library includes a close stereo mic position as well as a direct stereo line output, so you can tweak an electric or acoustic sound to your liking with the help of our handy modular effects rack, packed with amp and cabinet simulators, multi-effects and custom convolution reverb boosts.

Dual Core CPU, 2 GB system RAM, SATA or SSD hard drive recommended for this library.
