The SOUNDIRON Alto Glockenspiel is a concert mallet percussion library for Kontakt, featuring a 25-key alto glockenspiel and a 7-key toy glockenspiel. The interface offers a variety of articulations, mic mixing, effects rack, arp, and ambiences designed for layering and shaping.

Instrument Details

The alto glockenspiel is a tuned percussion library that captures a compact 25-key alto glockenspiel. This instrument is typically used in student orchestras and has a natural range of A4 to A6, but its playable range has been extended from A-1 to G8 to allow for extremely high and low notes. The instrument was recorded with 3 different articulations: hard stick, soft stick, and muted stick. Plus, we’ve included our classic toy glockenspiel library as a bonus. Each articulation has multiple dynamic layers and plenty of round-robin variation to create a very dynamic and naturally playable virtual instrument.

Additional Features

The SOUNDIRON Alto Glockenspiel was captured from a close, dry stereo position, and from a distant, wide position in a large cathedral, giving you two very different flavor options. With separate articulation and microphone sets, you can load and control them independently, providing a wealth of tonal and atmospheric flavors for layering and shaping. The intuitive interface controls let you customize the sound to your needs, with dedicated controls for swell, attack, release, pitch, vibrato, articulation selection, and more. Additionally, you can explore a variety of strange and unexpected sonic manipulations with the arpeggiator and auto-scroll system.

Dual Core CPU, 2 GB system RAM, SATA hard drive or SSD recommended for this library. This software is delivered as a digital download, so a broadband connection is required. All sales are final.
