Pan. You wouldn't be alone if you thought of this as nothing more than the simple act of moving sounds from left to right and vice versa. But it could be so much more. PanMan opens up a Pandora's box of panoramic possibilities. Recreate the sounds of classic hardware panorama boxes. Trigger panning with the dynamics of a track. Create complex rhythmic patterns and dizzying sweeps. With the full range of Soundtoys modulation tricks at your disposal, PanMan transforms the simple act of panning into something incredibly creative and powerful.

Classic Auto Panning

PanMan incorporates features inspired by classic automatic panners. Are there classic automatic panners? Yes! And we track these obscure boxes, like Spanner and PanScan, to study what makes them work. One thing we needed to run with comes from PanScan: the trigger splitter. This peculiar feature allows you the number of trigger events needed to move to a new pan position. For example, you can configure it to scan from left to right on three triggers. Trigger to pan by clicking with the mouse, automate the trigger with your host or even set a threshold for it to respond to incoming audio. You can even filter the audio going to the trigger so that it responds only to low events or high frequency. And of course we don't stop there: we've added 7 different analog modes that add saturation and real analog vibration when you press the PanMan hard.

Modern and Musical Tools< /b>

Like our other modulation effects, PanMan also offers advanced rhythm tools that let you create your own signature pan effects. Two different rhythm modes offer countless possibilities: the Ste mode p lets you pick a new position on each beat and sync it with your host, while Shape mode lets you choose from a library of custom panoramic shapes or even draw your own. Open the Tweak panel and you'll find one series of creative options - you'll be amazed by the versatility of PanMan.

For pan effects that follow the feel of the music, you can even set the limit control and trigger the PanMan using the dynamics of your track. Move the width, speed and displacement controls based on the tempo of the audio. Create sounds that sweep whenever the drum snare hits. Change the pan speed based on the intensity of a vocal. With PanMan, you'll create new creative pan-based effects that you thought weren't possible.
