The PSP PianoVerb2 is a redesigned and enhanced creative resonant reverb plugin (VST, VST3, AAX and RTAS for Windows; AudioUnit, VST, VST3, AAX and RTAS for Mac OSX) based on our famous and beloved PSP PianoVerb freeware plugin. The new version offers a redesigned GUI, with a new resize feature and new preset management. Like the original PianoVerb, it creates its unique sound with twelve resonant filters that mimic the behavior of piano strings. The ability to transpose, tune and detune the string ensemble allows you to configure the PianoVerb2 to provide a wide variety of reverbs, from traditional wide-spread reverb to unique and unusual resonances. With the addition of a new modulation section and the ability to set various time and damping and decay freeze settings (via A/B comparison function), this little plug-in offers amazing options for creative use. Add to that some other amazing new additions like a high-pass filter section, independent wet/dry controls and a reverb tail freeze control, and you can see how the PianoVerb2 has become a truly comprehensive algorithmic reverb and exclusive. Whenever you want to add some natural resonance to a weak piano track, vitalize your lead guitar with a little sustain or just add a touch of good reverb to the selected track, the PSP PianoVerb2 can do the job!
The PSP PianoVerb2 is not really an update of the previous free pianoverb, but a powerful reverb plug-in adapted and geared towards the piano (although I have just tried it on guitars ). It can even make midrange piano sounds (real or sampled) sound magnificent, adding release, space and subtle pitch modulation to a cool static sound.
The really cool feature is the Freeze mode, which captures a moment in time, but it also has a "sound in sound" effect with each new note added to the freeze sound - really cool.

You could really go wild doing highly unusual out-of-tune and transposed reverberations that others can't. Whatever you do with it, it will fill your ears. This is a really nice and interesting plugin!

PSP PianoVerb2 is a really unique and fun tool for the creative process. The concept of the original PSP PianoVerb was groundbreaking to begin with. Now this version 2 has the A/B switch and Freeze feature to be a more creative tool. I started having fun jumping between two settings and occasionally Freeze for dramatic effects controlled by the DAW automation. Now, I connected the MIDI pedal to do the same in real time for my live performance. The response is fast and the entire trading is very smooth.
In the recent trend, the reverb has been pushed by impulse-based emulators. We forget what reverb brings to creative processes. The PSP PianoVerb2 is not just a rich sounding reverb effect, it brings unique wood into the world of reverb, added with a deep modulator to drive you crazy if you wish. I'm having so much fun with this plugin.
