PRS Archon offers scintillating cleaning or aggressive overdrive; push harder and you get glorious distortion. With its lush gain, the Archon is ideal for lead rhythm or crunching, as well as offering a clean channel that players of all genres will appreciate.
PRS Blue Sierra / V9: Never released before, even in its hardware form, this ultra-rare amp was an early original format of the PRS J-MOD 100. Evocative of American guitar amps, it's great for clean sounds and gain overdrive tones medium. Regardless of the setup, it's easy to get great 3D sound and hard to get bad sound.
PRS Dallas provides the sounds of classic American reverb amps. The all-tube design produces a classic open tone for big-sounding wipes or multiple overdrive sound variations with natural-sounding reverb. Originally designed by PRS lead amplifier designer Doug Sewell, this highly musical amplifier delivers sweet highs, solid basses, and beautiful mid-range tones.
Speakers and different cabinets produce different sounds. PRS SuperModels let you choose from 8 different speaker cabinet IRs (speaker cabinet audio snapshots), captured by Paul Reed Smith in his personal home studio using his proven microphones and microphone preamps. As a bonus, you can add any of your favorite third-party IRs - up to two simultaneously.
The plug-in's innovative Phase Fix and Time Fix controls automatically fix any phase or latency issues between the different IRs. The Smart Mix control will balance the perceived volume of IRs when you use two cabinets. An IR browser will automatically load and toggle the IR, leaving you free to play.
Each amplifier has three other useful features not included in the original hardware amplifiers: one tone-shaping boost for when you need that vital extra boost that normally comes from a booster pedal; a digital tuner for standard and extended range guitars; and an intelligent noise gate that detects input and blocks output.
