The Waves Scheps 73 is a 3-band color equalizer modeled on the classic 1073 console mic preamp and equalizer module and developed in association with world-famous mix engineer Andrew Scheps ( Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath, Lana Del Ray, Metallica) Jay-Z .)
Powered by the cutting edge technologies of Waves, Scheps 73 EQ features interrelated bands that adhere to to the original specs of the 1073 and precisely mimic its behavior: a fixed 12kHz high-frequency band, selectable low- and mid-range bands with cut and boost controls, and 18dB high-pass / octave filter. In addition, for the first time, a little-known 10kHz band, discovered in the original 1073 schemes, but operable only in the rare 1078-channel band, was modeled and incorporated into the plug-in. What's more, the Waves MS matrix has been added to allow you to apply different EQs to the mid and side stereo content.
Using innovative procedures to model the acclaimed Marinair transformer, Waves meticulously captured all of the 1073's sonic characteristics, including its harmonic distortion. These connotations have been perfected to perfection by Andrew Scheps himself, resulting in beautiful and authentic saturations.
